I was talking to him and he asked me what the offense was lacking. After I said a decent offensive line, he said what attribute, not position player, the offense was lacking. I immediately said speed and he kind of smiled at me and thats when he dropped the nugget about Ross.
Obviously the chips have to fall the right way, but I am being told by a pretty reliable source that the Bengals really like Ross.
I think the plan last year was actually to draft Coleman or Fuller to have that speed element and have LaFell play more in the slot. Neither speed guy was available last year at the Bengals pick and they took a good slot receiver that can also play outside but his game isn't built on speed. Now they can get that speed element and honestly a better player than either Coleman or Fuller. All he needs is to stay healthy.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
