I get the bengals had injuries, but The offense was atrocious when green went out leaving Lafell as our number one. Dalton is not a qb that is going to make his players better. However dalton will play up to the level of talent surrounding him. Does that make sense?
If the bengals have a better offense and stay on the field longer the defense will be more fresh. I understand we NEED help in the front 7 on defense and they can address that later. We also have billings coming back and minter so there is that.
Howard is probably who I want in my dream scenario. Dalton is lights out with a big body roaming the middle... Who can actually catch (uzomoah) and stay on the field (eifert). But he will likely be gone. The bengals already have a stud wr in green and complimentary possession recievers in Boyd and Lafell. What the bengals are lacking is speed to be honest. And Ross fits the bell. Even if he only caught 50 balls but at a high yards per catch and produced 5-6 touchdowns the overall effect on offense would be noticeable. Throw in a return td or two....
Fwiw- I'd also be happy with Foster, hooker, Adams, Allen, fournette, Thomas. But I'm totally on board with Ross if that is their guy.
No, playmaker isn't. We've got guys, ^#$%ing use them. Boys, Core, LaFell. Bring in the TEs we've been grooming.
We've got guys who can catch. Let's get guys who can disrupt.
