The Draft isn't as easy as just looking at Kipers Board...

Interesting points. Years ago I remember people laughing at a guy who predicted the Colts would select Edgerrin James BEFORE Ricky Williams. Williams seemed to be the better player. James was a better fit for the Colts. James ended up having a GREAT career.

Also, fans knock the Bengals for not picking Hooker or Lattimore as they were best player available. Well they were best player available...on Mel Kiper's board. Teams all have their own board. With the Bengals valuing speed...Ross could very well have been a Top 3 player on their board.

So now I see the Ross vs Allen vs Lattimore vs Hooker vs Howard debate.

Ross was supposedly off some teams boards altogether due to injury concerns and dropped on others. He also ran a blazing fast 40 time. The Bengals already have Boyd. Ross also had shoulder surgery and may not be able to play right away.

Howard is a good TE prospect, but the Bengals already have Eifert.

Allen is a good prospect but the Bengals prefer taller DE's.

Lattimore and Hooker were 1 year wonders who the Bengals didn't seem to really consider.

What is the right pick? Time will tell...but to the Bengals who already have a Top 10 scoring defense and an offense that had issues scoring points it was Ross.

They're banking on Ross's speed replacing Marvin Jones speed and getting AJ Green some more space.
