Yes, Hunt was a project. Yes, he was old. But he had elite athleticism and size, so the thought was that if he could be properly groomed, he would be a monster. He showed signs of being a monster in college, so there was good reason to hope he would pan out.
Yep, and there were other "experts" that called him third or later....I guess it just depends on who you read. I linked up some draft "gurus" that had him pegged as a later round project in this discussion before.
Clint Boling is another prime example....some sites had him pegged where he was drafted, some said he was as high as a mid 2nd rounder.
