Of course, I don't remember when Marvin Lewis started...wasn't it a couple years before drafting Carson Palmer? I do remember that Marvin Lewis first pick in the draft as an head coach was Levi Jones, I think anyway. I always second guess myself since the brain injury.

I didn't choose 1999. That's how long Pro Football Reference has been keeping track. There is no way to splice the stats, or I would just do the Marvin era. That said, Marvin started in 2003 (his first draft pick was Palmer), so this only includes 4 seasons before Marv and 14 seasons with him. So it's still mostly Marvin. I would also add that the last 18 years have included at least 4 down seasons for almost all teams outside of say the Patriots and Steelers.
