As for the franchise that has gone the longest without a play-off win, Coaches Shula, Coslett and LeBeau never even got us to a play-off. Quarterbacks Klingler, Blake, Smith, Kitna, O'Donnell, Frerotte never led this franchise to a play-off season. How about the 14 straight seasons without a play-off season from 1991 to 2004 ? The Era of The BUNGLES. ....Carson did lead this team to 2 play-off seasons, no play-off wins, in 8 seasons. Dalton has led this team to 4 play-offs in 4 seasons. I will point out also that Ken Anderson led the Bengals to 2 play-offs in his first 4 seasons, with no play-off wins. Boomer Esiason had no play-offs his first 4 seasons. No Bengal quarterback has ever won a play-off game in his first 4 seasons.
