This organization is one of the few that honors their contracts to completion (sometimes to the detriment of the team) Mr. Brown loves football, loves the Bengals and loves Cincinnati. He absolutely wants to bring the city a Super Bowl Championship. You may disagree on his methods in getting there, his years of too much control over the draft and players, but his life has always been about this team. If he was so cheap and such a money grubber, he would have sold naming rights to the stadium. Instead, it's rightfully named after his father, one of the most innovative coaches of his time. I would be proud to watch the man receive the Lombardi Trophy. He deserves it, the city deserves it, and the team deserves it.
I aagree with your post. I truly believe he wants the team to succeed and win. He's just not very good at it. I think he had some misguided ideas early on and the team and fans and himself suffered as a result, but none of those bad decisions were intended. Hell, he's still making mistakes like the rest of us, but he did keep the team in Cincinnati and named the stadium after the old man and if it were as bad as some people portray it to be none of us would be Bengals fans at all.
