The Ravens went 8-8 last year.
They had a good Free agency signing period with Maclin, Jefferson, Woodhead and Carr as solid veteran pieces/starting material.
Re-signed Williams to a big contract.
They lost Wagner, Dumervil, Juszczyk and Aiken. Wagner was a rather large loss, but other than that, nothing all that significant left.
And then, on top of that, they had a good defensive draft that could show value in its first year with Humphrey, Bowser and Wormley all good enough to be significant contributors as rookies.
If Flacco weren't injured, I would say they are competing for the AFCN Crown. We'll see how this develops. All that said, I am a bit confused why people are so sure they're going to be horrendous this year.
Is it just the Flacco injury? Because that's basically the only reason I can think of for why the Ravens would finish anywhere below 8-8 or 9-7 at the very least.
