After reading replies, there seem to be 2 sets of people.
1) People who have an issue with it because it was a non-tackling drill
or
2) People who say he is dirty because Gio is coming off ACL surgery and he tackled too "low"?
Burfict absolutely should not have done this in a non-tackling drill. I agree 100% and it was a dumb move.
As for the tackle, it was text book and not "dirty" if this were a full contact drill. He hit him in the waist and slid down to the leg as they went down. He did not dive at the knees as so many, especially in the media, are suggesting. Are you asking him to check to see who is RB on each play and change his approach? Are you asking him to aim higher on Gio only? Seems ridiculous.
