Not a lot of details there... but apparently at some point they turned down a 2nd rounder which, if true, was a stupid move.

You are incorrect a stupid move would be to trade for a 2nd rounder when you want a first-rounder with no back-up plan we are in no hurry to trade AJ so the only stupid move is to either settle for something less or trade of time when you don't need to or have to trade
