Good catch. I clicked on Burfict's name and saw this, so I assumed it was factored in:
Vontaze Burfict signed a 3 year, $38,680,000 contract with the Cincinnati Bengals, including a $3,300,000 signing bonus, and an average annual salary of $12,893,333. In 2017, Burfict will earn a base salary of $775,000 and a workout bonus of $200,000, while carrying a cap hit of $4,063,235.
Contract Terms: 3 yr(s) / $38,680,000
Signing Bonus $3,300,000
Average Salary$12,893,333

But it shows Vontaze with a cap hit of $4 mill this year.
According to the details of the new contract, base salary for this year will be $8 mill (so remove $4 mill from the 2017 cap...now down to $11 mill remaining). I also assume that the $3.3 mill signing bonus also goes in against the cap this year, therefore taking the cap down from $11 mill to $7.7 mill?
And if you factor in the Bengals typically reserve a few mill for injuries, then yea it's right about your estimate of $5 mill remaining.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs
Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.
Sorry for Party Rocking!
