We had first time Starters/Players Dennard, Billings, WJ3, Fej, Willis, Lawson, Evans,Vigil all taking significant snaps along with Minter who is knew to the team. All things considered the defense played well enough to win and at least with them you can see opportunity for improvement moving forward with more experience. Specifically, I though Dennard settled in to look pretty good minus going under a pick instead of over it. I think the defense could end up being a top 10 defense again once Burfict gets back.

I said prior to the season I was worried about our run defense. Yesterday our run defense could not stop a team almost running 100% of the time in the second half. My point is I have no idea how good the defense is because Flacco only threw 5 and 10 yard passes and they barely passed. I do know it was pissing me off I knew they were going to run and yet they were getting 5 or 6 yards on first down.

I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.
