Can't see Cowher coming to the rival of the organization he's known for. I wouldn't be opposed to it, I think he was a decent coach. Just can't see it.
That said, I used to keep up on position coaches and coordinators in hopes that one Christmas morning I'd find a shiny new head coach under our black and orange tree. But after we lost Zimmer, I decided MB was just ******** in our respective stockings and I really stopped looking at what other coaches were doing. Sometimes I'll watch a game and think "man, that's some good play calling" or I'll look at a guy I thought would be a wasted pick turn into a standout, and I see who is coaching him. But I'm not looking at their demeanor or history like I used to.
Kyle Shanahan was really the last guy I thought would make a good HC, but it's not getting off to a good start for him. Which may not all be his fault. It's like the Browns. When you work for a crap organization with unrealistic expectations, it's hard to build a successful team in two seasons.
