Back to the Future

If there is a QB available that they feel could be a top 5 QB, then you take him. It is just so hard to find a good QB and so hard to win without one. I say all of this a an avid Dalton supporter. It is much easier to upgrade the line than it is to find a top QB and I feel like we could with a couple FAs and draft picks.

Dalton is a good QB and someone that I feel like is very hard to replace. There are not a lot of good options out there and he has not earned the shit he has received from this fanbase, But, if a new staff sees someone they feel has the potential to be legit then go for it. The Browns for example have waited too long to pull the trigger on a QB because they felt the team wasn't good enough. IF a Carson Wentz is there at our pick take him, instead of trading away because our team has holes elsewhere. **** those holes, they are way easier to fill if we actually used free agency like a real team.

It is weird, as I love Dalton, but I really think you should let you football staff and people make the call on a QB. If they don't think a QB is worth whatever pick we get then stick with Dalton and take the best player available. It very well may blow up in our face, but we really wouldn't be in a different position than we are now.

Unfortunately, this franchise has an owner who meddles way to much and won't ever let the football people make their own decisions.

This is about where I'm at...although I'm probably more frustrated. 7 years after the Palmer trade saga, we've come full circle. If an entirely new regime came in and wanted their own QB, I'd be cool with that. At the same time, I'd probably pull a Nately and root for Dalton to prove a lot of people wrong who scapegoated him all these years.

We'd also damn well better address this pathetic joke of an o-line, or we'd just be repeating the same mistake for a 3rd time (4th if you count letting the line falling apart for Boomer).

I guess you could say I don't care who the QB is...I just want to see sweeping changes this coming off-season or I'll be just about done. That's not talk.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.
