I've never seen so much hand wringing over a truly mediocre kicker. I like to believe we have some very intelligent football fans around here, but stuff like this makes me scratch my head.
If yall really are so distraught about losing a future kicking legend, I'm pretty sure the Eagles are going to cut him when their guy gets healthy. I don't care either way. They're both young mediocre kickers. Elliott has more range, but seems prone to missing "gimmies"...If that floats your boat, he's your man.
to be fair Shake its already been a tough season and we need something to talk about......but, yes it feels like choosing between a kick in the balls or a punch in the face.
If there is handwringing to be done it should probably be for Simmons.
I agree completely with the straight up kicking competition in camp/preseason...can't say fairer then that approach but its looking like going with those 2 as the kickers for that competition was flawed from the outset.
PS ; I do think Bullock is being hampered right now by the injury ...even the kicks he does make are consistently hooking left
