I agree to some extent but it's also important to know the players' worth ethic in practices, how well they interview with the scouts, and various other things that you just can't learn from the internet.

It definitely has become easier, but a decent size scouting department is still important, if for no other reason than to be comprehensive and up-to-date (I know the internet is up-to-date, but it doesn't include everything, plus you need scouts to keep track of everything on the internet).
