His analysis of the Bengals has never impressed me until this last episode of this show, and what he had to say about Andy. Many of you know, that Mo Eggar was never short on complaints slung Andy's way in the past, but his criticism has turned into praise.
The problem that I was having with Mo Eggar, was that he would often call out our QB by name, and single him out personally - often, when I thought his criticism was unfair.
In this recent appearance with Ken Broo, however, Mo Eggar clearly stated that those who do not 'support' our quarterback, also must not want our team to win. He then went on to say, if you don't want our team to win, then you are not a Bengals fan. This is my viewpoint as well.
I agree with Mo Eggar's view on the subject, and any who do not, really need to get with the program.
As far as I was concerned, Mo Eggar did not represent the team he reported for in the way he should, and was therefore not qualified for the job, in my opinion. He is still on the radio though, and this turnaround, to me, has him a lot closer to where he needs to be to keep my interest in his discussions on the Bengals.
Good on him, is what I say. And I will be addressing him personally, through one outlet or another, to let him know I noticed.
Now, if the rest of you so-called fans that have nothing better to do than to tear down one of your own team's players and call them out by name, you need to get it right too. You make me sick!

Hmm. there's a couple things about this OP that struck me. For one...you were never impressed by Egger's analysis of the Bengals, and didn't feel that he represented the team the way he should've. Hell, you didn't even think he was qualified for the job. But, now that he's said something that you wholeheartedly agree with...you've taken notice, and he's closer to where he needs to be? Where exactly does he need to be, other than giving his honest opinion, whether you agree with it or not? It really sounds like you want Mo to be an all-praising, tow the company line kinda guy...ala Hobson, or else he's not deserving of being on the air in your opinion. That's just not Egger's style.
Secondly, there are no "so-called" fans IMO. Either you're a fan or you're not. Honestly, who's going to invest/waste their time, energy, money, emotions, etc...just to be a "so-called" fan? Granted, there are different types of fans...positive, negative, blind homers, constant b-tchers, eternal optimists and permanently jaded. Some are diehard, some are more casual, some live and die with each game, some see it as just entertainment. But, they are ALL fans...each in their own way, expressed in their own way. Whether they drool over a player or can't stand a player...it's their choice and their opinion.
I don't mean to go on a rant here, but I can't stand seeing people telling other people what a "true fan" is supposed to be...or even worse, that you're not a true fan 'if you're not like me'. Hell, I get sick of both extremes...the uber-homers and the hyper-critical's. But, you'll never see me telling them they're "not a real fan" because that's bullshit. I've been a fan of this team for 30 years. I'll praise what I think it's deserved, and I'll b-tch about something if I think it needs criticized. Two people can have completely different views about their team, the players, coaches, etc...and still be equally devoted fans.
Ugh, this whole 'fan' thing has always rubbed me the wrong way. Oh well, I just popped the 1st Sam Adams of the night...so it's all good!
