Darrin Simmons on short list of HC names?

Ever wonder why certain really good teams never lose their coordinators? It's because a lot of the teams with HC openings want to fill them in early January and the good teams are still playing in the playoffs. It's very rare that a team like the 49ers would be willing to wait until a guy like Kyle Shanahan was available in Feb.

That's why we've seen so many Bengals coaches poached but teams like Pittsburgh and New England keep theirs. Winning in January.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!
