I don't know, but I've observed that training technique twice in my lifetime.  First was in HS, then later when I played adult Semi-Pro ball.  Both times, it worked rather well.  I'd hate to think that our HS OL coach and a washed up former HS coach that was coaching grown men for free were the only two guys in the football coaching universe that ever thought of that idea..
