They got rid of Pollack and numerous other coaches to save Garrett's skin. The Bengals got rid of Alexander and numerous other coaches to save Marv's skin. Both teams have meddling owners and no GM. Go figure.

If he makes it that far. The Cowboys actually move coaches more frequently than every few decades.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.
