Keep in mind that the base defense for the Bengals the last few years has been nickel - which probably explains why there has never been much of an emphasis on the SAM backer.  He's rarely on the field.

I'd still be shocked to see them using a high pick (round 1-3) on a linebacker.

Probably why we give up so many yards rushing.
