If the guy comes back on a pretty average deal, and has starting experience, I am cool with him coming back and competing. He is young and the new coach may be able to work with him, maybe he won't, but I got to believe he has a say in this.
Assuming Bodine was not $4+ mill a year (even though I fear he would be because of how this franchise operates), I'd be fine with him competing with TJ Johnson and a high draft pick.
However, what I fear is the re-signing of Bodine would give the coaches an excuse to wait on drafting a C until Day 3 or potentially not draft one at all.
That is my nightmare.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
