merely starting to click on things will only provide short term gains with the current provider. the performance of those clicks will lower the quality score assigned to the site if backend conversions dont occur. ultimately when it comes to ad placements in forums it comes down to sheer volume of impressions in most cases.
if you do click on an ad, be sure not to immediately close the site, show some engagement, time on advertiser site from a click gets put into the equation. that being said, if anyone is retargeted with an item they previously looked at and are still considering purchasing (cough cough Mike); clicking through the ad from here and completing the purchase is ideal for the forum's monetization long term... with the current ad platform that is.
