Wouldn't a name associated with something a bit more fast and aggressive be more appropriate? Like "Charging Bull", for example.
The only thing I can think of is, back in the old west days of cattle drives the lead bull had a bell and the rest would follow him. Dairy cows are the same way. When they are out to pasture, the lead cow would come in first with her bell jingling to signal the cows time to come in...
