It always amazes me how so many people (including myself) think these players are going to get so much less in FA than they actually get.
As Sean McVay said, you're going to have to "overpay" for good players in free agency. Sure, they might not be the best (or at least top 5) at their position, but they are going to look to get paid like it.
Is Sammy Watkins really on the same level as AJ Green and Julio Jones right now? No, but he's getting paid more than AJ and Julio because that's how FA works.
Same with Kirk Cousins.

Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
