To the bolded, that could be said about almost any backup. Point is, he went 2-3. That's about what I'd expect from any semi-decent backup on a good team. If we're a good team this year, I could see Barkley going 2-3 against the same type of schedule.
Except that Barkley isnt even a semi-decent backup, and was one of the worst free agent quarterbacks on the market. Bengals could have done better, but instead went with a guy that they know for 100% certain wont cause any sort of 'qb controversery'.
Anyways, they definitely wont be looking to draft a replacement, and I doubt they even draft a qb as much as I disagree with them about.
