Why would we not PUP him (eligible to return week 6 and have until week 8 to decide) so we save a roster spot?
He has not practiced so he should be on PUP
The IR has 2 options, one he is out for all of 2015 (which can be done after week 8 if he is on PUP) or use our 1 designate to return so he can come back. Again, why would they do this? It makes no sense as we may have a player hurt in first few games we need to use this designation on versus losing a roster spot for a guy out 5 or 6 weeks.
