30% of the NBA is foreign born players. 27% of MLB players are foreign born. There are tons of physical freaks all over the world that have football bodies but have never played advanced football. So instead they become wrestlers, or shot putters, or power forwards, or "strongmen".
The NFL is just doing this to try and spread advanced football around the world.
