I think the website even had a "percent chance" type of thing and OTR had something like a 55% chance of being a victim of a crime if you were ever in that neighborhood at all (like, you walk down the street you have over a 50% chance of being attacked/mugged/murdered).
It had to do with the percentage of crime per the the size of the neighborhood. Other cities problem areas are/were much more spread out.
Anyway, OTR is MUCH different than it was in 2010. Not to say there’s not still a lot of crime around the area, but it’s better than it was. Just like anywhere it’s all about situational awareness.
