Agreed, and the fact that he was instantly brought back by the team just shows that those who said they'd be surprised if the Bengals truly dropped him were correct. The Bengals typically don't dump long time players this close to the season. It would've put MJ in a tough spot.

In my defense, they are apparently re-signing him at a lesser deal so I was correct somewhat they didn't release him at a time that would have provided him a best chance to catch on somewhere else. They knew they were bringing him back.
It was you, Sled and Mike M. I didn't use you twice. I wasn't rubbing your noses in it, I was just proving that not everyone thought it was a slam dunk that MJ was gone. Ironically, he's not gone, so I guess those who weren't surprised should've been?
