No, you're not alone in that thought.  Gio is a very talented back.  He averaged just over 5 yds/touch versus Carolina.  If the OL can establish any sort of rhythm on Sunday, he could easily handle 25 touches.  There's no need to rush Joe back into action, and risk ripping open that incision.
