I’ve been as disappointed with the defense as anyone, but I heard a solid point on the radio the other day; we have to re examine what a good defense is because in today’s NFL, offenses are gonna put up yards. So the ‘bend but don’t break’ ie try to hold teams to FG’s, isn’t a bad thing. Unfortunately, we haven’t been too successful with that, but giving up yards is just gonna happen. In that sense, we may not be as bad as it seems going forward ... although I agree, it’s pretty bad.
