Lap was so smart he left the Bengals for a 10 year contract with a USFL team. Rolleyes

A lot of great talent went to the USFL. Jim Kelly, Warren Moon, Steve Young, Reggie White, Herchel Walker, etc.

You think these guys were all dumb?

That guy was being practically held together with duct tape.

I don't care if you hated on JG for holds, drops, whatever...  the dude wasn't a wimp or quitter.

Lap is basically a Bengals employee. He rarely speaks out of turn and apparently held back his true thought on P.A. for years.

What I'm saying is that I seriously doubt he would've roasted Gresh if that weren't the prevailing thought in the building. It seemed Marv was pretty done with Gresh, based on comments he made. Players must have been talking too, if I were making an educated guess.

We really don't know what went on behind the scenes, but people were pissed for some reason. Just because Gresh remained mostly healthy through his career doesn't mean he didn't sandbag when he had an injury. We don't know.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.
