"Doing The Right Thing"
An old boss of mine, in a company meeting, asked the attendees ... "What is the best way to go about doing things? Is is 'doing the right thing'? Or is it 'doing things right'?"
After all of us had voiced our opinion, he said ... "All of you are wrong. Because if you 'do the right thing' in the wrong way, that won't get you very far. If you 'do things right' you won't get very far if you are doing the wrong things." The real answer, he said, was to DO THE RIGHT THINGS RIGHT.
I doubt very seriously if the Bengals' management has ANY CLUE what the right things are, much less how to do those things right.
