No, but the size of the screen and the quality of the sound does. It has already been pointed out to you that when they re-released Star Wars people flocked to the theater to see it on the big screen again. That alone blows your argument out of the water.
It is clear that you don't care for theaters, but lots of other people do. Stop pretending that you speak for everyone.
