Tucker is a 90+% FG kicker with 37 of 51 FGs made in the 50+ range. That's tops of the elite.
It's not like FG kickers of Tucker's caliber are just available to be picked up.
Yes, the Bengals could have kept Jake Elliott over Bullock. While Elliott has a big leg like Tucker, he isn't as accurate overall as Tucker or even Bullock.
If Elliott had attempted a crucial kick and missed, people would be crucifying him just like they are Bullock.

Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
