I'm more than happy to allow him to get 100% of the reps this week and hopefully get AJ back and see how he does. If he succeeds, great for them and us. If he fails, no shocker and we're right back to where we were before the Browns, needing a QB that can make tough throws under pressure.
I've watched them all. I can even tell you the route concepts and the defenses he was throwing against. His presnap understanding of what he was seeing was just not there. He did better improvising than following the play as designed sans a couple plays. He threw two passes that should have been interceptions because he simply didn't know what he was looking at pre snap not because they were inaccurate.
AJ struggled with a lot of the same pre snap reading issued and it's why he could throw against man but struggled with more exotic zone defenses, especially with matching concepts.
