You do realize the Cubs and Red Sox both broke their ridiculously long championship droughts by paying top dollar and hiring the same guy and making him President of Operations, spending lots of money on FAs and their scouting/development, and then securing some of the most talented managers in the game.

Curses aren't real and they don't just break themselves.  Hell, I may as well be unemployed, live in my mother's basement and spend all my time trolling internet forums while wondering how long my curse of not living in a mansion and marrying a super model will last.
