It's a mess, but re-signing Dunlap and Atkins was not a wrong move and I don't believe these two are what is wrong with the defense. There's been a systematic breakdown on the back 7 for most of the year. Burfict doesn't seem to care anymore and Adam Jones, who was a leader in the secondary is gone.
Plus Marv has lost the locker room. I think that's pretty much a certainty at this point.
