Agreed 34. I think I would take my chances with someone else as well.
Even though I was pretty excited when they hired Marvin, if we could go back in time knowing what we know now, I think I would rather have Coughlin and see what he could do with this franchise. Of course, that means Mike would've had to give Coughlin more of what he wanted in terms of personnel and scouting control...so that probably wouldn't have happened either.
I think you make a good point about 'fruit from the Marvin tree' as well, which is why I'm hoping they avoid hiring Vance, Hue or any of the current staff. They need a clean break from the Marvin era...someone who hasn't been associated with it at all.
