Eric Bieniemy set to interview with Bengals Friday

He hires the coordinators to do that. HC is a different role, this is obvious in many respects but needs to be stated.

The candidates will be out to prove that they can lead, they can develop a plan for the type of systems and players they want, they can motivate, they can game manage and make tough decisions where needed.

This is definitely the more traditional way, but there are some HCs who do call the plays and/or build the game plan.
It just should not be expected that a HC should HAVE to also be a coordinator.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!
