Since then, the Bengals have always AT LEAST had one head coach, offensive, or defensive coordinator remain with the team (sometimes promoted from OC to HC).
The Bengals have completely cleaned house for the 2019 season; bringing in a new HC, OC, and DC. The 1992 season was the last time the Bengals did something similar to that.
Granted, the Bengals did not have an OC from 1989-92.
In 1993, they promoted the TE coach to become OC, and he was there for only two years.
The Bengals are changing up the ENTIRE coaching staff for the first time in over 25 years.
The days of Mike Brown running the show and keeping around people he's comfortable with have ended. The next generation is making the decisions now. It's rather refreshing.
