I'm not sure where the Fox rumors came from. The dude took two different franchises to the Super Bowl as HC, so I can't imagine he is willing to go back to being a DC.
His great fall from grace happened in Chicago and his replacement kind of cemented his legacy for now anyway. I suspect he'll be resurrected soon enough somewhere.
