That's just it...these guys do have track records. That's what some of us don't like.
Taylor was mediocre everywhere except the Rams...and it's hard to really say h was responsible for that. He was the assistant WR coach when Goff broke out. He was mediocre at U of Cincy. Mediocre with Miami.
I suppose he could be a better HC than OC...in fact, it's definately possible. But, he's not totally unknown.
But, your point is fair. You never know what you are going to get.
