Last year was a step in the right direction. Hopefully it continues.
Good franchises aren't always active in free agency/trades, but when they are, it's usually because they're coming off a poor season with a lot of cap space. Or they're contending and just need that one player that will help put them over the top.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.
