You're crazy if you think MB does not have a very significant (if not the most) say in the organization. I have seen no evidence of anything that indicates anything has changed.
MB signs the checks. Remember that. That will be 7 million big ones for Bobby Hart.

I think Mike's mostly stepped aside now, and you can just see it in the decisions the organization has made in the last couple of years. Many of them - especially the coaching changes - fly in the face of what Brown did for years, and I find it harder to believe that the old dog has learned new tricks rather than his kids are just running the show now. I think Mike sticks around for one reason as pointed out in this very thread - to provide cover and to be an easy target for any criticism.
