We'll have to wait and see what happens. There's no reason to believe this coaching staff will be any better than the last one. Just because they are different doesn't mean they are better. We have to wait and see what they do on the field and it's really going to take a full year. The last coaching staff started off last year decently, then they couldn't game plan their way around good opponents, then some injuries.
We have to see how this new staff does during the season against the division and other teams, like the Rams, Seattle and New England. We can assume all we want, but the team needs to improve if it wants to have more than 6 wins in 2019.
If the team can't win the division and beat New England or the Rams, then it won't be a contender.
The same nepotistic bunch that saw us through the 90’s, 00’s, and 10’s is still running the show. Just like the Trump organization, many got their jobs with their only qualification being a family member. When exposed to public scrutiny this arrangement usually shows its failings quickly.
