What specifically about Grier "terrifies" you?
For me, I see a lot of Andy Dalton in his game but with a better deep ball.
I don't understand the "forcing of the hand" comment, as Grier passed for a high completion percentage, a lot of yards, a lot of TDs, and few INTs. Sure, he had a couple bad games, but every QB does.
I look at Grier and see Geno Smith. They both were knocked for bad footwork and they both improved it for their pro day making people feel better after it. The issue though is poor footwork is easy to revert back to as we saw with Smith at times early in his career. Be careful getting caught up in stats as the Air Raid in the big 12 has been a stat pad'er for years at various programs. He is a solid QB but I have questions on how well he will read complex zone defenses in the NFL because he pretty much never had to do it in college with that offense.
I think Grier is a fine day 2 prospect, but I think his odds of being successful are similar to other day 2 QB's...not great.
