I will say it one more time, our past TE options were one dimensional passing options, bot Eifert and Uzomah our 1 and 2 TE's were not good blockers. Eifert is one of the worst blocking TE's (#1 TE for each team) in NFL.
Why is it important? It eliminates a true play action run/pass option if your TE's are bad blockers on the field. To me it is not about 2 TE sets, it is about 1 TE in line to block, but can catch the short routes or screens. They can put 2 TE's on the field, start both in line and then split Eifert out wide also.
Simply, it gives the OC more options in play calling and the defense more to worry about in my opinion.
