By sheer coincidence I read one of my all time favorite novel, Sometimes a Great Notion, right before I took a trip down the Oregon coast from Astoria (where my friend lived) down to Crater Lake. I just fell in love with that entire area. Kesey did a brilliant job describing the natural beauty of Oregon and then I had an amazing time on that trip. I camped at the Sand Dunes and Crater Lake.
